19 December 2008
AIIM - The Enterprise Content Management Association announces the election and appointment of Andrew Ewing, Information Management Solutions Division, Hewlett Packard as Chair of AIIM’s European Advisory Board. Replacing Mark Greatorex, CMO of Meridio, Andrew’s appointment is with immediate effect.
The AIIM Europe Advisory Board’s objectives are to provide advice and guidance on the issues and direction on which AIIM Europe should focus in its role as an independent European voice of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) industry. AIIM’s members represent suppliers and users of the technologies required to capture, manage, process, store, preserve and deliver enterprise-wide content to support business processes.
AIIM President John F. Mancini said, “We are delighted that Andrew has accepted this role - both his wide industry experience and business acumen will allow him to make a major contribution to discussions on the future direction of AIIM and be a great ambassador for AIIM both in Europe and at International Board level.”
Andrew Ewing commented “I am very pleased to accept this role with AIIM. AIIM has a tremendous opportunity to provide informed industry commentary and thought leadership in an evolving enterprise content and information management market,. Customers are demanding the ability to rapidly align and integrate ECM technologies under overarching information governance architectures with, rather than opposed to, structured transactional systems. AIIM’s Trade Advisory Board is ideally placed to support this market shift, speaking to both practitioners and customers, as well as the basis for receiving market feedback to the vendor membership.”
