Information Organisation & Access (IOA) Certificate Program
Course Description
The Information Organization and Access (IOA) Certificate Program consists of three training programs taken in any order, or a 4 day Master class covering all IOA topics for optimizing Findability and Enterprise Search. Some of the programs are available exclusively as highly interactive onsite training classes while others may be taken online. Each online module within a program lasts approximately 60 minutes
The IOA Strategy workshop (Why IOA?)
(1 day executive awareness workshop)
The Strategy workshop provides a clear overview and explanation of Findability and Enterprise Search and its key components in order to set the scene for the detailed examination of important concepts and actual implementations. It provides you with the knowledge and tools to gain ownership and support by senior executives and users.

The IOA Practitioner program covers the parts of IOA, finding, inventorying, and analyzing content; taxonomy; metadata; ontologies, topic maps, and semantic networks; content modelling; introduction to access; content intelligence and text mining; advanced topics in findability; advanced search techniques; search interfaces, document structures; and content finding us management.

The IOA Specialist program (How to implement IOA?)
(10 online modules or 2 day training class)
The IOA Specialist program covers the implementation of programs and projects, and related tasks such as the business Case for how "IO" leads to better "A"; defining the problem and planning the project; building the right team; user analysis and scenarios; content inventory, aggregation, and analysis; taxonomy, metadata, and content modelling;, architecting a standards-based content/data model; tagging and content organization models; optimizing information access tools; improving findability; governance; and maintenance and management.

The IOA Master program (Putting it all together)
(4 day training class)
The IOA Master Certificate Program comprises the main elements from the above strategic workshop and certificate programs in addition to a case study exercise. The course provides complete coverage of information organization and access for professionals working in both the public and private sector.
Learn:
- Participants will use their newly gained knowledge to plan, design, and implement an IOA project based on case study exercises and expertise learned from the Strategic, Practitioner, and Specialist Course programs.

The course provides a summary of the main elements from the Strategic, Practitioner and Specialist training courses in addition to additional information, exercises and case studies.
- This workshop is for people that already have both the IOA Practitioner and Specialist designations.
