AIIM represents the Information
Management community as the global association for both users and suppliers
of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions – the strategies,
services and technologies which enable organisations to capture, manage,
store, preserve and deliver information to support business processes.
Organisations, both public and private, are operating in an era where they are
called upon to be no longer simply ICT enabled, but "information management
compliant". The emphasis in these times is about being able to handle the
proliferation of information born as a result of the increasing number of channels
and speed by which individuals and businesses are able to communicate with each
other. This is key to successful performance. To stay in control, organisations
must be able to manage information; and do so in a way which conforms with regulations
and legal obligations, minimises cost, time and risk, and maximises efficiency,
productivity and business continuity. This isn't easy. Which is why AIIM exists.

Miles
Managing Director, AIIM UK
Doug
Miles has been with AIIM since January 2005, initially as Marketing Director, and from March 2006 as UK Managing Director . He has over 25
years experience of working with users and vendors across
a broad spectrum of IT applications. He was an early pioneer
of document management systems for business and engineering
applications, and has been involved in their evolution from
technical solution through business process optimisation to
the current corporate-level concerns of security and compliance.
Doug has also worked closely with other enterprise-level IT
systems such as ERP and CRM. Doug has an MSc in Communications Engineering and is an MIEE.
Doug is a regular
contributor to various information management and vertical industry publications
and is a clear, enthusiastic and experienced presenter.
Hanns Kohler-Kruner
Director Global Education Services EMEA
Hanns Köhler-Krüner has more than 13 years of industry experience in selling and marketing content management, document management, search and workflow solutions for both software and hardware vendors in Europe.
In the last few years, Hanns has helped both national as well as international companies manage their information assets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as various Eastern European countries. He has held both national as well as international roles in project- as well as product management.
Hanns holds a doktorandis degree from the University of Amsterdam, including several years study in the UK and Germany. Hanns is also CDIA+ qualified.
Known as a humorous and lively speaker, Hanns is regularly asked to present at meetings and conferences throughout the Europe and the Middle East.
